What is CBD and why should I use it?

CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of the dozens of cannabinoids (naturally occurring compounds) found in the cannabis plant. It is completely natural, is not psychoactive (won't get you 'high'), and you will not test 'positive' on drug tests. How is 'The CBD Market' different than other CBD retailers?

What is Hemp and how is it different from Marijuana and Cannabis?

Hemp is legally defined as cannabis with less than .3% THC. In essence, the word 'hemp' is more of a legal and cultural definition than it is a scientific one. Learn more about hemp here
Marijuana is a term invented by the US Government in the early 20th century as part of its campaign to make the plant seem foreign and dangerous. It has no scientific basis and is essentially a slang term.

Is Hemp Seed Oil the same as Hemp Oil?

Definitely not. It a product has CBD, its label will typically say 'CBD', 'Hemp Oil' or 'Hemp Extract'. 'Hemp Seed Oil' does not contain CBD. As cannabis becomes more mainstream, more companies use similar terminology to capitalize on the consumer demand for CBD. Please beware! As always, feel free to contact us if you'd like help.

Is all CBD made equal?

Technically, yes. However, not all CBD products(cbd oil, cbd edibles, cbd skin cream & cbd lotion) are made equal. This is because the manufacturer might have bought their CBD from a more or less good source. For instance, Brand A might source their CBD from a farmer who is growing their crop organically in the USA while Brand B might source their CBD from a run of the mill farm in China that uses hard pesticides. In addition to the varying CBD sources, manufacturers have varying standards to which they manufacture their products. This is why you may have seen stories in the press about varying levels of quality among CBD products. Another component to consider is that some products are made with CBD isolate (99.99% pure CBD) while others make their products with full spectrum CBD oil.
